Illustration – Children Should Never Be Considered Cargo

This Friday’s illustration is not a custom illustration by yours truly (life happened this week as I prepared for my hooding ceremony today). Instead, I will bring you an illustration by Julio Cesar Morales from his ink and watercolor series “Undocumented Interventions.” Morales illustrates real discoveries by US Customs of human trafficking and attempted border crossings. This illustration depicts children found in piñatas. Children have also been found in washer machines and even carseat cushions. Children should never be considered cargo.
